In the fall of 2018, trailblazing Vancouver biz The Juice Truck announced it was taking over the former Juicery shop at 4236 Main St.
Now, as summer 2025 nears its close, The Juice Truck has revealed it's time for them to say goodbye to the Riley Park space.
"What started as a little shop quickly grew into something so much bigger — a community hub for wellness, smoothies, cold-pressed juice, pop-ups, markets, and countless great memories," reflects The Juice Truck operators in their closure notice on social media.
The Juice Truck first launched on four wheels before expanding to a mini-empire of cold-pressed juice and smoothie shops that double as event spaces and reliable spots for grabbing delicious plant-based snacks, meals, supplements, and sundries.
Juice Truck still has five other shops
When they added Riley Park to the roster, it marked the brand's fourth dedicated retail location, with its outposts in Yaletown, Mount Pleasant, and Richmond's Steveston Village already established. Since then, The Juice Truck has also opened counters inside Whole Foods in Vancouver (Cambie) and Burnaby (Lougheed).
The Juice Truck will continue to operate those five remaining locations once their name comes off the Main Street store.
However, while "it’s time for this chapter on Main Street to come to a close," The Juice Truck shared that "an exciting new one is beginning."
Specifically, it's that "longtime friend and collaborator of The Juice Truck," Body Energy Club is the new occupant of 4236 Main St.
"Body Energy Club Main Street will be opening soon with acai bowls, smoothies, juice, supplements, and more — and our full line of juice will still be available there for all your future juicing needs," continues The Juice Truck team. "We can’t wait to see them put their own spin on the space and keep the wellness legacy alive."
Smoothie, supplement chain adding several new locations
For its part, this new shop is part of a phase of significant growth for Body Energy Club, which teased last month on social it will soon be adding three new locations. One of them is in Olympic Village, at the corner of West 1st Avenue and Manitoba Street, opening in August.
The supplements and health food store is known for its grab-and-go health-focused snacks and drinks, including smoothies that take stab at replicating some of the viral buzz of those from L.A.'s infamous high-end Erewhon market.
An opening date for BEC in the old Juice Truck space on Main has not been shared yet.
The last day for The Juice Truck on Main is August 14. The brand also hints their story is still being written. "Who knows… you might even see new store concepts or fresh looks from us soon."
