It's an abrupt ending for Finfolk, the Nordic-inspired beer and bites spot in East Van, which announced Thursday they are closing almost immediately.

"Finfolk is closing, what a crazy adventure, Saturday is our last day, come by Saturday beers are $5 till [they're] gone 🍺🍻🍺🍻🍺" shared the restaurant on their Instagram account.

Finfolk launched in April 2019, offering platters of meats smoked in-house, about a half-dozen rotating pizzas with veggie, meat, or seafood toppings, and fresh oysters.

Additionally, Finfolk was also known for their rotating selection of local craft beers and ciders, poured from 20 taps.

Finfolk had taken over the space previously - and briefly - occupied by the vegan pizza spot Hustle Pizza Co., at 1600 Franklin Street. Their last day will be Saturday, March 14, and their regular hours are noon to 11:30 p.m.
