Of course you can find traditional French holiday pastries at Ladurée. They have large and small Buche de Noel cakes, and flavours include Pistachio Macaron; Rose and Raspberry Marie-Antoinette; Louise with soft milk chocolate biscuit, mousse, and cream milk chocolate; and Fleur Noire. They also have Scandinavian-themed macarons with red, white, and gold designs and motifs, and their classic macarons, all available in a variety of gift box options.

Maitre Chocolatier and Patissier Chef Thierry Busset of Thierry will make the holidays sweet with his signature Buches de Noel (in five festive flavours), holiday macarons (in cranberry, gingerbread and stollen flavours), and holiday chocolates, spiced tarts and Kugelhopf.

Thomas Haas

The legendary local pastry chef and chocolatier's 2018 holiday selection is spectacular as always. Featuring a tantalizing lineup of Buche de Noel, edible ornaments, a truffle tree, chocolate reindeer and angels, cookies, and their signature Stollen, Thomas Haas knows how to dazzle for the holidays.

The 2018 collection at this social enterprise cafe and chocolate shop includes seasonal chocolate bars and truffles, small chocolate-coated treats, signature fresh bars, holiday confection and vegan chocolate boxes, and bagged caramel and toffee treats. Plus, new this season, East Van Roasters has introduced their very own stone-ground hot chocolate mix to take home. These sweet gifts really give back to the community, too.

Mon Paris owner and pastry chef Elena Krasnova has created a delightful collection of chocolates, confections and pastries that promise to sweeten the season. Born from centuries of French holiday traditions, this year’s offerings include playful chocolate gifts, sumptuous stocking stuffers, gourmet advent calendars, seasonal chocolate bark and an exclusive lineup of decadent Yule logs.

Four Seasons Vancouver

This Vancouver Christmas tradition brings former Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver chef Gerhard Weitzel out of retirement to bake and share his decades-old secret stollen recipe. This famous German cake, rich with holiday spices and flavours, is available for purchase at YEW seafood + bar from now until Christmas Day.

Railtown Cafe Pastry Chef Mario Pelletier has created a festive array of very merry holiday treats. The lineup includes Yuletide-themed baked goods — mini gingerbread loaves, cranberry and pistachio Bakewell tarts, pumpkin cake with maple frosting — along with festive sugar cookies and cupcakes. Railtown Cafe’s holiday baked goods will be available at all four Vancouver locations. 


Purdys has been making the holidays sweeter in Vancouver for decades. The locally-founded chocolatier has all the goods for a delectable season, from everyone's favourite Hedgehogs to gorgeous seasonal gift boxes. Their special holiday truffles include Egg Nog, Mandarin, and Gingerbread, and they have cute things like a chocolate Holiday Survival Kit and chocolate Santa lollies for stocking stuffers.

Giovane café + eatery + market sweetens up the season with a selection of individual desserts, full size cakes, holiday bûche and stollen. As well, their beloved sugar bun is dressed up as Old Saint Nick with the 'Santa Belly' making its debut from Dec. 17-25. Lucky's Doughnuts

Lucky's is always baking up fresh doughnuts in fun new flavours, and for the holidays they'll be putting their Stollen and Egg Nog Snowball doughnuts in rotation at their shops.

La Glace 


In addition to Buche de Noel ice cream cakes (available in Mont Blanc or Candy Cane flavours and by pre-order only), this ice cream and treat shop has flavours like Pain d'Epices (gingerbread) and Egg Nog ice cream, along with candy cane meringues, egg nog lattes, and other sweet treats.


The holidays are sweet at Beta5, whether you've been naughty (i.e. a chocolate "Lump of Coal") or nice (seasonal artisan chocolate collections, peppermint crunch bars, or peppermint patties).

Pastry Chef Remi Ho of Origo Club in Richmond will offer two delicious takes on a traditional Christmas Bûche de Noël, or Yule Log — bûche à la noisette (gianduja bavarois, creamy dark gianduja ganache, apricot coulis, praline noisette, gluten-free chocolate sponge) and bûche japonaise (Orelys Valrhona chocolate mousse, matcha bavarois, passionfruit coulis, mango curd, white chocolate sponge). These are available in limited quantities, and orders must be made in advance with four working days notice and pre-payment is required. Orders can be placed in person at the restaurant or by calling 604-285-8889.


The exquisite seasonal menu at Faubourg includes Buche de Noel in multiple flavours like Blackberry Lime or Milk Chocolate Earl Grey. They've got charming Polar Santa Bear sweets, Stollen, and traditional loaves of Pain d'epice as well.
