The folks from Squamish-based Howe Sound Brewery sent over a sixpack of their latest beer to our office today: Howe Sound Lager, the first beer they've ever released in a can. Though I'm more of a coffee kinda guy I do appreciate the gesture and I'll make sure it gets into the hands of somebody whose weekend it will make a little bit brighter.
Something else I appreciate is the green topper holding the package together. It might look like more plastic than is typically on a sixpack but two things: 1. it's 100% recycled plastic and 2. it has one of those recycle symbols on it so instead of it ending up in a landfill you can actually throw it in with the plastics in your blue box and have it get recycled... again.
