A Surrey bakery has come up with a fun way to get their cake-in-a-jar treats into your hands: A vending machine!
Just Cakes Bakeshop has been selling their cakes at their Surrey storefront since 2017, and among their most popular treats is their line of jarred cake, called "Just Jars." While you can check out this Food Network's The Big Bake champions' eats there, or order via UberEats, Just Cakes Bakeshop came up with a fun idea to sell their beloved Just Jars.
The solution: The Jar Bar, the world's first-ever vending machine for cake jars.
Right now, Just Cakes is testing out the concept with a pop-up that finds the Jar Bar vending machine set up now through Oct. 18 at Willowbrook Shopping Centre in Langley.
The machine is filled with jarred cakes - layers of cake, filling, more cake, and buttercream - in flavours like Red Velvet, Oreo, Birthday Cake, Double Chocolate, and Reese.
