When you buy local, you're not just supporting these individuals, but also helping to grow and sustain the local community.

I think I could go vegan if I had a personal chef, kind of like how Bey and Jay did it. Unfortunately, I don't so I get my fix from Culver City Salads whenever I have the chance. The truck serves scrumptious vegan salads that usually involve vegetables from every colour of the rainbow. They work with local farms and use whole ingredients to give you the most health benefits out of one of their salads. They also have additional foods that rotate seasonally and something to offer your sweet tooth, too. Their coconut cookie with dark chocolate chips and dried cherries on top is a less guilty favourite of mine.

Now the truck is looking to be one of the most innovative food trucks out there and go solar! Most food trucks run on gas-powered generators, but truck founders Christina Culver, Sarah Culver, and Jesse Savath want to convert their truck into a completely sustainable model with energy efficient fridges and solar panels on the roof. However, they need your help. These upgrades are expensive but will have a big payoff.

If you want to see the truck set a new standard for sustainability, help them out by contributing to their Indiegogo campaign by June 18th!
