The other three locations are staying put.

The original Small Victory in Vancouver's Yaletown neighbourhood is closing, but a new one is being planned nearby.

After a decade in Yaletown, Small Victory is closing down its original shop.

The popular bakery has since opened up three other locations (in South Granville, Mount Pleasant, and Burnaby's Amazing Brentwood mall). However, with the lease ending at at 1088 Homer St. the bakery has decided to shutter that spot as of May 25.

"It has been our greatest pleasure to serve you and be part of your mornings and afternoons," reads a note on their door. "We are immensely grateful for your loyalty, your friendship and your support over the past 10 years."

However, the area shouldn't be without a Small Victory for long.

"We are working hard on opening a beautiful store at Marinaside in the early fall," the note continues.

Where exactly the new location will be one the street at Yaletwon's south border has yet to be announced.

They're not the only Yaletown bakery leaving the neighbourhood. The Hazukido franchise at 280 Nelson St. quietly shuttered recently.
