With two shops opening in quick succession in Richmond and Coquitlam, South Korea's TheVenti coffee chain is gearing up to add a location in downtown Vancouver.
The new TheVenti is moving in at 509 Dunsmuir St, replacing Hey I Am Yogost. The global yogurt and tea drink brand from Shenzhen, China closed its shop in the space at the end of 2024.
TheVenti currently has a business licence application pending for what will be its third Metro Vancouver outpost.
While the chain's menu offers the traditional coffee and tea drinks like Americano, matcha latte, and hazelnut cream cold brew, it also has a "Canada-only menu" featuring a Maple Deep Latte, Harmony Chai Latte, and London Fog.
Customers will also find peach iced tea, yuzu apple blending tea, sparkling juices, blended frappes and smoothies on the menu.
TheVenti Coffee first opened in 2014 in Busan, describing itself as a "value-focused" coffee chain.
Locally, TheVenti debuted in Richmond at No. 3 Road and Westminster Highway in March, and was the South Korean brand's first foray into the Canadian market. The Coquitlam shop at 2972 Glen Dr followed a month later.
The brand's Canadian franchise seems poised to keep up its rapid growth. "We are still expanding more," a rep for TheVenti's Metro Vancouver locations tells V.I.A. by email.
TheVenti is expected to open in Downtown Vancouver on Dunsmuir on Friday, Sept. 5.
