Tragedy struck outside the Strathcona Beer Company recently as nearly 1,000 full cans of their Beach Radler were lost in an unfortunate shipping accident.

A representative from the company tells us that they had just completed their "biggest ever canning day" of 10 pallets of the beer when they unfortunately lost a full pallet while a shipping truck was being loaded.

The beer was being heavily promoted over the past few days since they released the humorous video for it below, showing a dude getting "beach ready" by including it in his training regiment.

And while it sucks that they lost a bunch of this sweet nectar, the photo they posted to Instagram of the casualties got about four times the average likes that their regular posts do. And tons of people commented on how bummed they were, and that they were awaiting its release.

You can't buy that kind of promotion! And luckily there are still nine pallets of the stuff making their way to local retailers.
