Taiwanese fried chicken chain opening third Metro Vancouver location

Popcorn chicken, wings, and even knee cartilage are on the menu at this popular global franchise.

A Taiwanese fried chicken chain has revealed its third location will open inside Richmond’s Aberdeen Centre Mall food court.

J&G Fried Chicken, originally a street food from Taichung in Taiwan, operates nearly 200 stores in Taiwan, China, Hong Kong and Malaysia.

Their first North American location opened at Burnaby’s Crystal Mall in 2018 and the second on Robson Street in Vancouver.

The menu includes their signature popcorn chicken, chicken cutlet and chicken wings.

There are also unique food items such as chicken knee cartilage, deep-fried squid balls and deep-fried king oyster mushrooms.

J&G told the Richmond News that the opening date has yet to be set due to COVID-19, but they will have a better idea in the coming weeks.
