Prefer to skip the dishes, and skip using food delivery services for your restaurant-made Thanksgiving feast? Not a problem. Vancouver's restaurants are putting on some festive spreads, making use of all the ingredients and flavours of the harvest season.

Plus, you can also start your feasting earlier in the day thanks to some beautiful Thanksgiving brunches - including one that is pulling out all the stops because it's bottomless - that's right, all-you-can-eat for Thanksgiving brunch. 

Thanksgiving Dinners for Dine-In

Honey Salt

Enjoy a three-course Thanksgiving Dinner served family-style for $49 per person this holiday. Start with fresh-baked cornbread and honey butter and a watercress and endive salad as an appetizer. Continue with Herb Roasted Rossdown Farms Turkey with crispy Brussels sprouts, whipped potatoes, heirloom carrots, pan gravy and cranberry sauce as entree and finish with fresh pumpkin pie. Honey Salt is also featuring a special cocktail this Thanksgiving: Rump-Kin Smash.

Water Street Cafe

This veteran Gastown spot is putting together a big Thanksgiving weekend feast. Available October 10 and 11, The Water Street Cafe's holiday menu kicks off with an Italian-inspired amuse bouche, followed by a three-course meal with options like a Maple Butternut Squash Bisque to start, or turkey or Prime Rib for your main, with either a pear tart or fruit sorbet to finish. Reserve online.

The Belgard Kitchen

The Railtown restaurant's “Family Dinner” is a gathering for friends and family to enjoy a seasonally inspired meal without any of the heavy lifting or clean up. The menu includes: Turkey 2 Ways: stuffed and rolled breast, confit legs, gravy, cranberry sauce; Twice Baked Rosemary + Goat Cheese Bread Pudding; Mashed Potatoes; Roasted Root Vegetable Medley; and "Somethin’ Sweet" for dessert.  Served family style at $35 per guest (with a donation to Mealshare and the IRSSS included), reservations can be made through the restaurant’s website or through OpenTable. Seasons in the Park

The restaurant’s signature Thanksgiving dinner menu will include two starter course options: a Butternut Squash Soup with crème fraiche and thyme, and a rustic Harvest Salad of beets, kale, dried cranberries, goat’s cheese and candied pecans tossed in a sherry vinaigrette. This year’s main event will be an Oven Roasted Turkey served with garlic mashed potatoes, cranberry herb stuffing, Brussel sprouts, honey glazed carrots, cranberry sauce and pan jus. Pumpkin Cheesecake topped with berry compote and caramel sauce is sure to end the night on a sweet note.

Indulge in a traditional Thanksgiving three-course meal at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. Priced at $75 for adults and $37.50 for children (aged 12 and under), this festive dining experience showcases such holiday favourites as butternut squash soup, roasted Fraser Valley turkey with all the trimmings and a sweet finish of housemade pumpkin cheesecake. Reservations are required, with seatings available Sunday, October 10 and Monday, October 11 from 5:30 to 10 p.m.

Ancora Waterfront Dining and Patio – False Creek

From Thursday, October 8 through Monday, October 11 - in addition to Ancora’s regular nightly menu - False Creek’s Thanksgiving feature highlights Executive Chef Sebastian Delgado’s 50oz Tomahawk, priced at $215 for sharing. This steak is paired with a house-made chimichurri sauce that originates from Argentina and is accompanied by Brussels sprouts and crispy roasted yams. The Spiced Orchard Latte cocktail by lead bartender Matt Spring is cozy, spicy and delicious, made from Kraken dark spiced rum, Boulard Calvados, house-made pear syrup and steamed milk (regular, almond, oat or soy). Fable Diner

On Sunday, October 10 from 5 to 8p.m. (last reservation for dinner is at 8 p.m.) Fable Diner will be offering a special Thanksgiving Dinner. Reservations are available online and via phone. For $25 per person you'll get: Free-range turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, Brussel sprouts, gravy, cranberry sauce all served with house-baked scones, and the option to add a slice of pumpkin pie for $5.

The Victor

This Thanksgiving The Victor is offering a Thanksgiving Feast from October 9th to 11th. Highlights include Roasted Kabocha Squash Soup, Roasted Rossdown Farms Free Range Turkey, Prime of Beef and Pumpkin Bunt Cake paired with a selection of wine. Reservations are recommended. 

Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar

Executive Chef Roger Ma will be offering an indulgent three-course menu that features all the holiday classics presented in a refined Boulevard fashion. To start, a seasonal Butternut Squash Velouté with pumpkin seed and nut vierge, rye crouton, and caraway chantilly. A main of expertly prepared turkey alongside chestnut and cranberry stuffing and pomme purée showcases the flavours traditionalists seek, and the refined technique gourmands will appreciate. Boulevard’s Thanksgiving menu is available on Oct. 9 and 10 for $74; the menu can be viewed here. Reservations can be made on OpenTable or by calling the restaurant at 604-642-2900. 

The Teahouse in Stanley Park

This year’s Thanksgiving dinner menu will include a delicious array of festive autumnal feature dishes. To start, guests can tuck into a creamy Butternut Squash Soup with toasted pumpkin seed purée, and a Harvest Salad with roasted red beets, roasted carrots, baby kale, crumbled feta, candied seeds and an orange vinaigrette dressing. A classic Oven Roasted Turkey main course will be accompanied by mashed potatoes, traditional stuffing, Brussel sprouts, roasted carrots and parsnips, classic gravy and cranberry sauce. To conclude the meal, guests can indulge their sweet tooth rich with a rich Dulce de Leche Apple Pie served with vanilla ice cream.

Diners will start off their meal enjoying a baby kale and arugula salad, before moving on to the main course of JD Farms specialty turkey with all the trimmings, and smoked boneless Fraser Valley pork rack with accompaniments. For dessert, a gluten-free chocolate hazelnut crunch bar. Plant-based vegan options are also available. Dining room reservations are recommended, with limited seatings available on October 9 and 10. ARC - Fairmont Waterfront

Skip the dishes and enjoy a home-style Thanksgiving dinner. Priced at $69per person ($39 for children aged 6-12, children 5 and under eat free), indulge in a perfectly prepared Thanksgiving feast, meant to be enjoyed with family and friends. This four-course festive dining experience features all of the traditional favourites, from the nutty squash bisque with toasted pecans and nutmeg cream to the sweet finish of pumpkin spiced sticky toffee pudding with vanilla bean ice cream. Reservations are required and seatings are available Sunday, October 10 and Monday, October 11 between 6 and 9 p.m.

Glowbal Restaurant

Enjoy fall favourites like B.C. Squash Soup, Slow-Roasted Rossdown Farm Turkey and a Pumpkin Tart with Salted Caramel Gelato for $65 per person.  Available Sunday, October 10 and Monday, October 11 from 5 to 10:30 p.m. Reservations are available online via Glowbal’s website.

Bacchus

Enjoy Executive Chef Montgomery Lau's delectable four-course Table d'Hôte Turkey dinner with all the traditional trimmings alongside the la carte Bacchus dinner menu. There will be live piano entertainment to make the meal more festive. The dinner is priced at $89 per person plus taxes and gratuity; $45 per child aged 12 & under. Straight and Marrow

This Thanksgiving, Chef Chris Lam will be featuring a special item, available on October 8, 9, and 10. The East Van restaurant's special feature is a Turkey Roulade, Brussels Sprouts with lardons, foie gravy, and mashed potatoes for $29. Bar Manager Chad Rivard will be featuring Autumn Shower Sour with five-spice infused brandy, pumpkin seed orgeat, absinthe, unsweetened cranberry juice and charred egg whites.

The Sandbar

The Sandbar welcomes gatherings on the holiday weekend with a very special Thanksgiving dinner menu. The holiday lineup includes Butternut Squash Soup with cardamom cream and roasted pumpkin seeds; a Fall Salad of quinoa, beets, apples, dried cranberries, goat’s cheese and honey chive dressing; Oven Roasted Turkey with garlic mashed potatoes, stuffing, Brussel sprouts, candied carrots, sage au jus and cranberry sauce; and a Classic Pumpkin Pie dessert topped with caramel sauce and Chantilly whip.

Homer St. Cafe & Maxine's Cafe & Bar 

On October 9, 10, and 11, Homer St. Cafe will have its special dine-in Thanksgiving menu available from 5:30 p.m. on. Reservations are strongly suggested. Sibling spot Maxine's will be offering its Thanksgiving menu from 5:30 p.m. onward on Saturday and Sunday, and reservations are encouraged.

Cardero's

The restaurant’s signature Thanksgiving dinner menu will begin with a Butternut Squash Soup and spiced apple chutney, and a Kale Rustico salad featuring olive oil Dijon massaged kale, grated Romano, olive oil breadcrumbs and house pickled red onions. Oven Roasted Turkey will be served alongside buttery mashed potatoes, herb stuffing, autumn vegetables, cognac pan jus and traditional cranberry orange sauce. For a sweet finish, Cardero’s will be serving a delicate Pumpkin Cheesecake with Chantilly cream and caramel drizzle.

The Flying Pig 

On Sunday, October 10, The Flying Pig will be offering a special Thanksgiving dinner at all of their Vancouver One the festive menu: locations. Free-range turkey with brioche stuffing, mashed potatoes, peas and carrots, housemade cranberry sauce, and gravy for $32 with an option to add pumpkin pie with Chantilly cream and caramel sauce for $9.

Thanksgiving Brunches

ARC - Fairmont Waterfront

Looking for a new way to enjoy brunch? This Thanksgiving, Fairmont Waterfront's Executive Chef Michael Pagnacco launches ARC Restaurant's Thanksgiving Bottomless Brunch. Priced at $59  per person ($39 for children aged 6-12, children 5 and under eat free), enjoy the abundance of the season with a variety of unlimited small plated brunch specialties. You can truly order up as many dishes as you can handles. Look for bottomless dishes such as the Liege waffle with rhubarb compote, Croque Madame and Chef’s turkey skillet. Reservations are required and seatings are available Saturday October 9 through Monday October 11 between 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. daily.

Botanist

Give thanks at Botanist this holiday with a three-course Thanksgiving brunch. The experience begins with a glass of sparkling wine, followed by a hand-crafted cocktail (spirit-free options available) from Head Bartender Jeff Savage, meant to sip while diving into autumn-themed dishes created by Chef Hector Laguna. Choose from a variety of starters such as homemade burrata salad with salt-roasted beets or hand-cut beef tartare with smoked egg yolk, followed by a selection of mains like the slow-roasted turkey with roasted fall vegetables and traditional gravy or a carving of prime rib with pomme purée and horseradish cream. To finish things off, Executive Pastry Chef Kate Siegel has developed a number of sweet ending options, such as a warm brioche pudding with poached cranberries and thyme caramel or the bittersweet chocolate praline fondant with a crispy hazelnut crust. This exclusive Thanksgiving brunch menu is priced at $78 per person and is available October 9 through 11 with seatings available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily. Notch8

Festive brunch-goers can relish in the return of Notch8 Restaurant’s Thanksgiving Brunch Buffet, featuring classic brunch favourites with an autumn twist. Priced at $79 for adults and $39.50 for children (aged 12 and under), diners can indulge in such dishes as pumpkin-spiced buttermilk pancakes, apple pie spiced French toast and turkey benedict. Reservations are required with seatings available from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday October 10.
