TO DIE FOR FOOD OF THE WEEK - VOLUME 6

Every week I compile a collection of the most mouthwatering food photos that I shot in Vancouver restaurants and in my kitchen. The hashtag #todiefor denotes an item truly knee weakening in flavour.

Liege Belgian Waffle with White Chocolate by Nero Waffle Bar - this brand new miniature shop on Robson Street - complete with a take-out window - is owned by Belgians who can vouch for their products' authenticity. My taste buds can as well. Hot off the grill, this treat is a must-try. #TODIEFOR

Three Egg Omelet by Market by Jean-Georges at Shangri-La - a perfect, inside-out breakfast creation made with white cheddar, stewed spinach and mushrooms. It's a luxury to have such a great breakfast spot open seven days a week at 7am.

Toasted Banana Bread with Mascarpone & Honey by Nelson The Seagull - so, I'm a bit biased (this is To Die For Banana Bread), but these flavor pairings truly compliment each other. The creamy, non-sweet mascarpone lathered on the warm, moist banana bread is heavenly. #TODIEFOR

Whole Wheat Scone & Soy Misto by Latin Organics - how often does your barista ask you how you like your misto? Thanks to Javier, who pulled and steamed this gorgeous frothy beverage, this was the best I've had in months. A whole wheat scone, made at their neighboring kitchen, was a delicious pairing.

Aburi Salmon Oshi Sushi by Minami - the signature dish of sister restaurants Miku and Minami (and for good reason). Layered with fresh salmon and topped with a blow-torched mayo sauce, this beautiful bite really is exquisite. Minami's grand opening is tonight at 5pm. #TODIEFOR
