After more than three decades of serving baked goods and deli food, Vancouver bagel chain Solly's Bagelry is permanently closing its Kitsilano location.
Signs in the shop at 2873 W Broadway announce that the last day for the long-time Jewish bakery and deli is June 23, 2025.
The rising costs of rent and taxes in the Kitsilano neighbourhood are cited as reasons for the closure.
"Thank you to everyone for 30 wonderful years," reads one of the signs posted at the shop.
The Kitsilano location is the oldest of the current Solly's Bagelry locations.
The original Solly's opened in 1994 in East Vancouver. There are currently three locations; the other two are at 368 W 7th Ave near Cambie Bridge, and 4071 Main St near the intersection with King Edward Avenue.
