'We will miss you all so very much': Long time Vancouver Latin American restaurant closing permanently

Rinconcito Salvadoreño will be closing after more than 25 years of operation in Vancouver. The Commercial Drive restaurant closes at the end of March, 2024.

 After more than 25 years, Rinconcito Salvadoreño is closing its doors.

The long-time Commercial Drive restaurant specializing in Latin American foods, specifically Salvadoran fare (and especially its pupusas). In a post on social media from chef Omar Herrera and his family, it was announced Rinconcito Salvadoreño will close up at 2062 Commercial Dr. on March 30.

"It is with humble gratitude and a heavy heart that we announce the closing Rinconcito Salvadoreño," reads the post.

They go on to thank the community for supporting the business for the last 26 years, adding "it's time to say goodbye."

"We wish you all the best for a happy and prosperous future," they state. "We will miss you all so very much."

The restaurant celebrated its 25th anniversary less than a year ago.
