Taiwanese bubble tea shops have been bubbling up across Metro Vancouver by the multitudes. One popular chain, YiFang, has been a big draw since its debut on Robson Street, and has quickly grabbed up additional locations, kicking off a pretty epic expansion in the region.
Known for their fruit tea, as well as the fresh black sugar pearls made in-house and available in limited quantities at select times of the day, YiFang has locations around the globe, including across China, in South East Asia, in London, in Australia, in New York, and here in Metro Vancouver.
Their signature fruit tea is packed with fresh fruit, like orange slices and passion fruit (it's my kid's favourite), and they have a very easy ordering system that allows you to adjust the amount of ice and sweetener in your drink. The drinks come in just one size, and are about $6.50 a pop.
On the heels of their Robson Street debut, YiFang opened up at 1131-8328 Capstan Way in Richmond (replacing Zenstone Coffee).
And another one is on the way, with signage up: 3612 Kingsway in Vancouver, situated just west of the Burnaby line and near Metrotown. The bubble tea shop takes over the former Doggie Goodie pet centre.
