Mounties are working to identify a man who allegedly asked a group of children if they wanted to have pictures taken with his luxury sedan, suggesting also that they hop in the car.
“We’re trying to determine what his exact motivation was,” elaborated Surrey RCMP Cpl. Joanie Sidhu, who labeled the act as suspicious in nature.
It happened at a housing complex in Clayton Heights in the 19500-block of 66 Avenue on Thursday, just after 6 p.m.
The suspect – described vaguely as a Black male between the ages of 20 and 40 – pulled up in his Mercedes and addressed six kids.
The driver asked them if they wanted pictures with his vehicle, confirmed Sidhu.
The suspect even suggested the children get inside of the car.
Ultimately, the kids ran away and the man drove off.
Police said concerned parents reported the incident after being told by their kids what transpired.
