Vancouver forecast calls for sizzling high of 25°C this week

While Metro Vancouver is expected to see a few showers at the start of the week, the weekend forecast calls for some sizzling inland highs. 

Over the weekend, Environment Canada warned Metro Vancouverites on Saturday that a strong cold front was sweeping across the south coast accompanied by strong gusty winds of up to 80 km/ hr. Following that, the forecast called for a risk of thunderstorms throughout Sunday.

Starting on Monday, May 4, the forecast calls for increasing cloudiness throughout the day and a high of 16°C. However, the overnight forecast calls for a 60 percent chance of showers and a low of 10°C. Following this, Tuesday is expected to see a mix of sun and cloud during the day and a high of 18°C; the evening forecast calls for a 60 percent chance of showers. 

Wednesday's forecast calls for a 60 percent chance of showers during the day with a high of 15°C, but the evening is expected to be crisp and clear with a chilly overnight low of 7°C. Following this, Thursday's forecast calls for bright sunshine and a high of 17°C except 21°C inland.

On Friday, the forecast calls for sunshine and a soaring high of 21°C with a toasty high of 25°C inland. The evening low is expected to be 12°C.  Saturday is also expected to see sizzling dayttime highs of 21°C and 25°C, while Sunday's forecast calls for a sunny high of 20°C.
