Vancouver's annual Pride parade returns on Sunday, Aug. 3, with a new route ending in a Davie Village celebration.
The Vancouver Pride Parade's new "reversed" route will kick off at Concord Pacific Place, travel along Pacific Avenue, and culminate at the intersection of Pacific and Burrard — leading directly into the reimagined Davie Village Pride Festival.
The Davie Village Pride Festival returns after six years as a "cornerstone event" of the 47th Vancouver Pride Festival. The festival takes place on Davie Street, from Burrard to Jervis, as well as in Nelson Park.
Before it was shut down during the pandemic, the festival used to occur a couple of days before Pride. Now, it will serve as the finale.
The 2025 festival also commemorates the 20th anniversary of marriage equality in Canada, a milestone inspiring the "ongoing fight for inclusion, equity, and celebration within 2SLGBTQIA+ communities."
Expect "vibrant floats, electrifying performances, and powerful messages of 2SLGBTQIA+ resilience and celebration," according to festival organizers.
Organizers say the best spots for viewing the parade are between Griffiths Way and Howe Street.
