While Wednesday saw a brief respite from wet weather, the Vancouver weather forecast calls for a great deal of rainfall this week beginning on Thursday, Sept. 12.
Environment Canada calls for periods of rain of up to 5 mm on Thursday and a high of 19°C. Periods of rain are expected to continue until midnight with amounts of 10 to 20 mm of rainfall expected at night.
Friday is expected to be cloudy with a 60 percent chance of showers in the morning and early in the afternoon. Showers are expected to begin in the afternoon and continue into the evening. Saturday's forecast calls for rain while Sunday is expected to be cloudy with a 60 percent chance of showers.
Monday is expected to be cloudy with a 30 percent chance of showers during the day and cloudy at night, while Tuesday is expected to be cloudy during the day with a 60 percent chance of showers at night.
Wednesday is expected to see a 30 percent chance of showers during the day.

Back in April, Environment Canada told Vancouver Is Awesome that the Lower Mainland would likely see above average temperatures in late spring and into summer. Further, it noted that the summer season would likely be warmer overall. These above-average temperatures are expected to continue into the autumn season.
Environment Canada has also stated that Vancouver will see above average temperatures this upcoming winter. However, it also states that it cannot comment on how much precipitation the Lower Mainland will receive. Find out more information about the frosty season here.
