Apparently Brandon Biebel and Zered Bassett, along with Metro Vancouver's Magnus Hanson and Ryan Decenzo , were spotted skating a barge off English Bay for a Red Bull photo shoot on Friday, September 11th.

How fantastic is the roof of this humble little castle on 19th Ave? It comes in a close second to my favourite, that hobbit house on King Edward, which I don't know why I've never shot a photo of. Oh well, HERE 's one somebody else shot.

I've always driven by this spot and felt sad that I couldn't skate it, it's just a bit too rough. So when I drove by the spot on the weekend and saw this, I had to stop to take a couple photos.

While my first love is swimming in our amazing ocean (I have yet to follow Calen's lead ), there is also something super awesome about swimming in a huge pool right beside the ocean.
