The Century Group is giving away free Teslas with the purchase of a home.

The company announced Thursday it will give a Model 3 Tesla base model, which has a gross list price of $55,000, with each purchase of the remaining 10 homes at their newest development, Viridian in South Surrey. The promotion will be valid from Sept. 14 until Oct. 31.

“We are pleased to roll out this new campaign moving into the fall real estate market”, said president Sean Hodgins in a news release.

“Viridian Homes is now in its final release with over 80 percent sold and each home offers an innovative design with energy-efficient capabilities and our partnership with Tesla is a true expression of that. We provide each homeowner with exceptional quality and for us that goes above and beyond the four walls of your home.”

Each of the remaining ten homes comes equipped with a charging station for the vehicle.

The Viridian Presentation Centre is located at 3618 150 St. in South Surrey, and homes start at $1.058M.

It remains to be seen if a similar unique incentive may be offered once homes are put up for sale at the Southlands development in Tsawwassen. The company plans to open a discovery centre for prospective homebuyers there by 2020.
