Why is this not a Zamboni? Vancouver is one of the few NHL arenas which uses an Olympia ice resurfacer, the rest use the better known Zamboni.
I'm sure there are plenty of good reasons to use an Olympia ice resurfacer, but none of them are probably very interesting. So we are left to speculate that the real reason is that a Zamboni is built on a Jeep chassis, something which those at an arena sponsored by General Motors may frown upon. See what happens when you don't drink at hockey games....you come back with stuff like this.
I could have sworn I saw a Calvin and Hobbes bumper sticker on it too...not sure what it was peein' on though.....
