Looking for an adrenaline-fuelled experience with awe-inspiring views?

While there are a number of amazing places to travel around the world, not all of them offer the best opportunities for adventure. For one, thrill-seekers generally search out countries with unique geology; many of them even travel to Canada to find it.

Whether it's soaring, snow-capped mountains, coral reefs brimming with brightly coloured fish, or endless stretches of glistening desert sand, one thing is certain: adventure is about feeling alive, and finding places that make you feel free.

Here are a few places around the world that will inspire you to be brave and leave you feeling exhilarated.

Home to the world-famous Machu Picchu, Peru attracts throngs of tourists from across the globe each year. The ancient Inca ruins are located high in the Andes Mountains, and offer stunning views of the surrounding area. The classic Inca trail takes roughly four days, and, at times, the altitude is very high. As such, altitude sickness is a possibility, and travellers should prepare in advance. With this in mind, the trip is well worth the effort.
