The prestigious publication hails Canada as "a source of stability and hope in a time when the news is mostly dominated by crisis and political rhetoric" and gives us a major shout out for being a welcoming haven for immigrants and refugees.

Oh, and Canada is pretty epic when it comes to things for visitors from around the globe to see, do, and experience.

In particular, T+L lauds the many Canada 150 events held coast to coast in 2017, the free National Parks admission program, and, for Americans, the oh-so-favourable exchange rate which made the True North strong and free a very affordable destination this year.

Naturally, Vancouver and B.C. can take much pride in being part of the honour, thanks to our stunning scenery, exciting urban offerings, outdoor adventures, access to water and mountains, and top-notch shopping and dining.

T+L's "explainer" video includes some pretty stunning Canadian eye candy, from mounds of Montreal bagels to actual mountains.
