Cruise from Vancouver to Tokyo
An interior cabin costs $2,525.16 or $1,262.58 per person (in Canadian funds). This is half the price of what the cruise regularly costs if it were priced in U.S. dollars. However, Norwegian is also offering a special promotion for Canadian travellers, making the Canadian dollar on par with the U.S dollar (about a 30 per cent discount) (see slides two and three).
The total cost of the cruise works out to $74.27 per person, per day.
Not only does that cost include your transportation on a beautiful five-star vessel, but it also includes meals, entertainment, snacks, and lodging.
Norwegian also highlights its "More at Sea" program, offering the following packages to help passengers save on costs that aren't included in the cruise fare. You can choose between:
- Free, unlimited open bar: Enjoy all the spirits and cocktails, wines, draft beer, juice, and pop for all guests 21 years or older.
-
Free specialty dining: Enjoy meals at the specialty dining venues for free
-
Free excursions: Receive US$50 for shore excursion credit per tour
-
Free WIFI package: Stay connected to the internet you can use throughout the ship.

Flight home to Vancouver from Japan
Travellers must also book a one-way flight from Tokyo Narita International Airport (NRT) to Vancouver International Airport (YVR) sometime after the cruise wraps up. It's not recommended to fly home the day you disembark, simply because the voyage is long and any delays could disrupt your plans. Beyond that, the Japanese capital is one of the world's most popular travel destinations, with many things to see and do, as well as unique places to shop, eat, and stay.
A flight back to Vancouver on Japan Airlines' self-described "basic" carrier Zipair costs roughly $446 on several dates following the final day of the cruise.
