Flights from Vancouver to Ireland are currently some of the cheapest deals for trips across the pond.
In April, the most economical option for travellers flying from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to Europe was Lisbon, with return trips to the Portuguese capital starting at $546.
Currently, travellers can't find return trips to Europe for under $600, but ones to the Emerald Isle still sneak in under the $700 mark. Best of all, one-way trips cost even less than half the price of a return trip, meaning people who want to fly to Ireland and leave from somewhere else won't miss out on the low-cost pricing.
WestJet is offering the best savings on any flights from Western Canada to Ireland this year, at times by hundreds of dollars.
A one-way trip from Vancouver to Dublin that includes one stop in Toronto for four-and-a-half hours costs $301 through WestJet (see slides two and three).
This price is considered "low" for economy or $208 cheaper than usual, according to Google Flights.
Round-trip flight from Vancouver to Dublin
Round- trip tickets from Vancouver to Dublin can cost under $700, although they involve a couple of short stops.
For instance, WestJet has a flight that departs Vancouver on Sept. 21 and returns from Dublin on Sept. 30 for $661 if purchased through FlightHub. On the outbound journey, the flight makes a stop in Winnipeg for an hour and 32 minutes and then another in Halifax for an hour and 35 minutes. On the return, the trip includes a stop in St. John's for roughly three hours and one in Toronto for an hour and 20 minutes (see slides four and five).

Travellers preferring to make only one stop can fly from Vancouver on Sept. 12 and return from Dublin on Sept. 17. The trip costs $719 through BudgetAir and only includes one stop in Halifax on the outbound trip and one in Toronto on the return (see slide six).
