Canada's largest airlines are offering discounts on tickets across their networks ahead of Father's Day.
Air Canada and WestJet have launched Father's Day Sales for folks looking to buy their dad the gift of travel (or anyone looking to save on their next flight). Each airline is offering two sales, including one with a larger discount.
The sales include global destinations, including hundreds of routes from Vancouver International Airport (YVR).

Air Canada
The Worldwide Father's Day Sale includes discounts on travel across Canada, and to the U.S., Mexico, the Caribbean, Europe, South America, and Asia-Pacific for travel between June 16 and Feb. 28, 2026.
The discount does not apply to codeshare flights (flights booked with another airline on the ticket), except codeshare flights operated by United Airlines, Lufthansa, Swiss Air Lines, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Discover Airlines, and Avianca.
Tickets must be booked by June 16 at 11:59 p.m. No promotional code is required to take advantage of the sale.
Concurrently, Air Canada is also offering 20 per cent off base fares (price before taxes and fees) to select destinations in Canada, including several routes from Vancouver.
Different sale prices are applied to the travel dates, but the overall travel period is June 16 to Dec. 12, 2025. The following blackout dates apply: June 29 to July 1, Aug. 1 to 4, Aug. 27 to Sept. 2, and Oct. 9 to 14.
Tickets must be booked by June 12 at 11:59 p.m. using the promotional code V3JTWR21.
WestJet
WestJet has launched its Super Father's Day flight sale, with discounts on over 110 destinations worldwide for travel between June 9 and Feb. 28, 2026.
Tickets must be booked by June 16 at 11:59 p.m. No promotional code is required to take advantage of the sale, and it applies to all fare classes.
Travellers can save more with extra savings on select routes. WestJet is granting up to 25 per cent off base fares on select routes in Canada and the U.S. for travel between June 16 and Dec. 12, 2025.
Like Air Canada's sale, discount pricing varies based on the booking window (including the day of the week).
From Vancouver, travellers can expect discounts on flights to Hamilton, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Halifax, and Sudbury.
Tickets must be booked by June 12 at 11:59 p.m. using the promotional code 3Q9M2GZ. The increased discount sale only applies to tickets booked in the UltraBasic and Econo classes.
