It may sound nearly too good to be true, but you can fly round-trip Vancouver to Mexico for under $200 this winter.

Remember the insane snowstorm that unleashed its wintry fury on the region last February? Well, Swoop ensures that you may escape the bitter cold with this extremely cheap deal to Mazatlan.

The flight departs on Sunday, February 3 and returns on Sunday, February 10, offering a full week in the sunshine. What's more, the flights are direct, so there's no messing around in frustrating layovers.

The best part? The total fare, including all taxes in fees, is $186.46 CAD.

Earlier this year, WestJet’s discount carrier announced that they would offer discount service between Metro Vancouver and Mexico. With that being said, these fares are markedly lower than their usual prices.

While Mexico is on sale, Swoop is also offering a number of deals on other hot destinations. For example, you can fly from Abbotsford to Las Vegas return for only $165 CAD including tax on right now, too. The carrier also offers great deals to Edmonton, Puerto Vallarta and Hamilton.

For a full list of available deals, visit Swoop’s discount page.

Note: While the low-cost carrier is an extremely affordable alternative, it is worthwhile to note that there are a number of additional costs. For one, luggage will cost extra, as will selecting your own seat or even speaking to an operator. As such, it is important to factor in what you need to bring, or if you want to sit in a particular spot prior to making a purchase.
