WestJet is offering direct flights to Orlando for under $200 from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to Orlando International Airport (MCO).

Vancouverites looking to visit "the most magical place on Earth" can take advantage of some ultra-low-cost direct flights right now to the home of Walt Disney World. 

WestJet is offering direct flights to Orlando for under $200 from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to Orlando International Airport (MCO). Some round-trip tickets also cost under $400 but may involve one stop on the return flight home. 

Travellers can browse low-cost options with the Google Flights price calendar, which shows several dates below $200 for direct flights departing from YVR in June. 

For example, a flight departing YVR on June 1 at 11 a.m. costs $185.85 including all taxes and fees.

Budget-conscious travellers can also find some return trips for under $350 on select dates in June, but they may have to book two separate tickets to score the best price. 

A trip departing Vancouver on June 17 with WestJet and returning on June 20 from Orlando with United and Air Canada costs $338 including all taxes and fees. The return trip involves one stop at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) in Houston, Texas. 

According to Google Flights, round-trip prices are about $500 less than usual for return trips.

What Vancouverites can expect on a trip to Orlando, Florida 

Orlando saw a whopping 74 million visitors in 2022, making it the most-visited destination in the United States. "The Beautiful City" is home to several popular attractions, including Disney's largest amusement park, which actually consists of four separate "magical theme parks." Universal Studios Orlando is another massive attraction, consisting of three separate parks. 

Universal and Disney each have a range of on-site hotels and resorts, ranging from more modest to ultra-luxury accommodations. 

Orlando is actually home to over a dozen theme parks, as well as some animal-centric attractions like Seaworld and Gatorland. Visitors will also find several popular sports franchises, museums, an impressive space centre, sprawling gardens, and seemingly endless places to shop and dine.
