Travellers can get cheap Vancouver flights from YVR airport to Paris, France with WestJet right now.

If you're looking to visit the "City of Lights" at a bargain, you'll want to book your ticket a couple of months in advance.

Known for its jaw-dropping architecture, incredible art galleries, and rich history, Paris offers a multitude of things to see and do. France's capital city is also known as a gastronomic paradise. From fluffy pastries to rich chocolate desserts, ratatouille to escargots, the city offers a vast array of tastes that will satisfy even the most discerning of palates.

Right now, WestJet is offering trips from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to the Paris Charles du Gaulle Airport (CDG) for hundreds of dollars less than the cost of the regular price.

While there are some lower-cost options in June, flights from Vancouver to Paris skyrocket over the summer and don't drop down again until the fall. But thrifty travellers can score an awesome deal on flights that depart toward the end of September and through November.

Using the Google Flights price calendar, put Vancouver as your departure city and Paris as the destination. Instead of selecting a departure date, simply open up the calendar and the prices for different dates will auto-populate, allowing you to select the cheapest option.

On Monday, Sept. 25, for example, a flight with WestJet makes two stops, one in Kelowna and one in Calgary, before arriving in Paris and costs $370, according to Google Flights. However, there is a cheaper option available through a third-party supplier called BudgetAir for $355.

Prices for these one-way trips typically cost between $475 to $980, according to Google Flights.
