Hot, hot, hot: Vancouver forecast calls for sizzling high of 35°C this weekend

While the city has seen some mild weather of late, the Vancouver weather forecast calls for some sizzling temperatures this weekend. 

Starting on Friday, Aug. 14, the forecast calls for sunshine and a high of 21°C on the coast and 25°C inland. However, temperatures are expected to feel more like 28°C inland with humidity.

On Saturday, the forecast calls for bright sunshine and a high of 24°C except 29°C inland. With humidity, temperatures are expected to feel more like 29°C on the coast and 33°C inland. Following this, Sunday is also also expected to be sunny, but the forecast is caling for a soaring high of 28°C on the coast and a high of 35°C inland. However, the forecast also calls for a 40 percent chance of showers at night. 

Monday is expected to be sunny with a high of 25°C along the coast and 29°C inland, while Tuesday's forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud and highs of 25°C and 29°C.

On Thursday, the forecast calls for a 40 percent chance of showers.

Environment Canada has revisited its three-month summer forecast to include September. Models show above average temperatures. Right now, the forecast shows the Lower Mainland should see temperatures between 0.5°C and 1°C above average through the season.
