Vancouver forecast: Showers give way to sunshine in early September

The summer-like weather is expected later in the week.

While it may start off with some clouds and showers, sunshine is going to be the theme this week in Vancouver.

Monday, Sept. 11, will start off with some grey skies, according to V.I.A.'s Weatherhood forecast, but it won't cool off too much. While Sunday saw highs around the city of 26 C or 27 C, Monday will see highs in the low 20s. So still warm, but not that summertime heat.

At the same time, there's a 50/50 chance you'll see some showers at some point during the day.

While the chance of showers will remain into Tuesday, the clouds will move on from the city and some sunshine is expected. However, the damp weather beforehand will mean Tuesday is likely going to be the coolest day of the week with highs in the high-teens (and cooler by the water).

On Wednesday the clearing pattern will continue, with a beautiful sunny day expected, along with highs in the low- to mid-20s. And that will set the tone for the rest of the week.

Thursday is supposed to be the same but warmer, and Friday, Sept. 15, Vancouver should see a return to summer-like weather with sunshine all day and highs in the mid to high 20s.

Looking towards next weekend, Saturday may see some clouds in the sky, but summer weather will remain with highs
