Get your umbrella out: Metro Vancouver forecast calling for a chance of rainfall

While the Lower Mainland saw sunshine and warm temperatures on Thursday, Aug. 22, the Metro Vancouver forecast calls for a chance of rainfall on Friday.

The forecast calls for a 40 percent chance of showers throughout the day, however, the evening is expected to be dry and partly cloudy. Following this, the weekend is expected to see a mix of sun and cloud. Saturday's forecast calls for a high of 22 degrees while Sunday is expected to see a high of 21 degrees.

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are expected to see bright sunshine and highs between 22 and 25 degrees. Nightly lows fall between 13 and 15 degrees.

Back in April, Environment Canada told Vancouver Is Awesome that the Lower Mainland would likely see above average temperatures in late spring and into summer. Further, it noted that the summer season would likely be warmer overall. These above-average temperatures are expected to continue into the autumn season.
