Repercussions can be fierce

... To the editor: Couldn't be more right. It's postings such as this which elevates the Courier to a community paper which seems to have come of age. You are to be congratulated for having this young lady posting such items in you paper.

To the editor: Re: "City hall task force targets housing 'affordability crisis,'" June 27. If the City of Vancouver is really worried about our housing crisis, then a good first step is for the city to start living within its own budget.

Parody included oil spills

To the editor: Re: "Student moms," June 22. Was this a Vancouver School Board public relations piece posing as a heart-warming news story? It seems to be.

This week B.C. Hydro told a reporter at one of the local daily papers that 681 customers had complained that they received unexpectedly high electricity bills after smart meters were installed on their homes. I figure that would make me 682.
