In what may be the illest 3 day span ever to go down at Malkin Bowl, 2 days after the Massive Attack gig on May 29, one of the baddest bands on the planet, LCD Soundsystem are up on May 31. And, yeah, this does mean a new album is due from James Murphy and crew following their disco banging opus Sound of Silver. This is Happening will be out around late May/early June (I'm assuming with a May 17 release date in the UK). I remember actually running into James Murphy at one of the Hastings Set parties after his last DJ gig here, I think it was the last party in the vault location. The last show on the tour for Sound of Silver, I missed and I cant believe I havent seen All My Friends, North American Scum, Get Innocuous live to this date yet so no matter how good or not that good this coming album is, just hearing those 3 songs will be worth the price of admission. However, I dont think any ticket price ever had as much value as their first show here back in 05 (below)...horree cow, this coming show is nearly 5 years to that date actually....dang.
