Everyone knows this West End rooftop patio -- and probably wishes they had unlimited access to it.
This patio and its tree are kind of a Vancouver institution, and the tale that goes along with it is pretty tall. As local folklore goes, the architect who conceptualized the building was hooked on heroin, thus explaining why the front of it looks like a giant syringe (round on top, long and straight in the body before coming to a triangular point).
