Every day we share a single photo from our Flickr Pool shot by one of our faithful and talented readers (that’s you!)
I'm pleased to share with you today a really cool photograph from regular contributor Billy Jaye. If you are familiar with Billy's photos on Flickr, you may have noticed that bicycles are a large part of his life - so much so that he woke up early this last Saturday (I know - waking up early on a Saturday!) to take a perch above the riders participating in the second annual RBC Gran Fondo Whistler.
Translating into 'Big Ride', this Gran Fondotakes riders on a 120 km ride from Stanley Park to Whistler Village along the Sea to Sky Highway, with an eye-popping elevation gain of 2400 meters before a descent of 1750 meters in the later stages of the race. Here Billy has caught the riders early in the ride, as they wind along the Stanley Park Causeway towards the Lions Gate Bridge. Here is the twitter-friendly titled RBC Gran Fondo Whistler 2011 #RBCGFW.
