It's one of the biggest celebrations in the city, with over 100,000 people expected to attend Concord's New Year's Eve Vancouver this year.
As the fourth annual instalment of the massive celebration, the organizers have arranged a number of things to see and do.
Of course, some of the events require tickets, but the outdoor street party is free. What's more, this massive outdoor fiesta will hold the Peak DJ Stage, that will feature music all night long. In addition, the stage will host everything from colourful roving performers to 12-foot tall puppets, marching bands to comedic performers, and much more.
When hunger strikes guests may visit the largest food truck festival of the winter season along Canada Place Way. As such, guests may sample some of the city's most scrumptious food offerings.
Bringing the family? The event offers an earlier fireworks celebration that coincides with the East Coast's midnight celebration at 9 pm. As such, attendees may still observe a spectacular ariel display without having to keep the little ones out too late. They also offer an indoor place to view the fireworks, too.
The Concord Countdown Central Indoor Party is described as a, "booming indoor party will light up the Vancouver Convention Centre's West Ballroom with colour and entertainment all night long."
While you must purchase tickets to be part of the indoor magic, the party includes a variety of fun components. These include musical guests, interactive art installations, surprise entertainment, and experiential attractions.
There is also an exciting VIP lounge for those wishing to be in a prime viewing location for the midnight fireworks. With the purchase of a VIP pass guests receive catered reception of savoury canapés, premium VIP bar, expedited VIP entrance, as well as a complimentary glass of premium champagne to toast to the New Year.
An intense, spectacular firework's display over Coal Harbour will mark the evening's finale. The 10-minute, high-aerial show starting at 12:00 a.m. sharp will be synchronized to a soundtrack and broadcast live on 102.7 THE PEAK radio station.
