I must preface this by letting you know that this post is both self serving (in that I want to show something off to you) and also selfless (in that I want to give you something to put on your feet).
In my other life, when I'm not editing/executive directing the V.I.A. machine, I'm actually a creative director / photographer / curator, one of my most recently released projects being a pair of Dunk Lows that I designed for Nike SB. Unfortunately there are no skate shops in Vancouver that are stocking these shoes so we're holding a giveaway for a couple pairs of them. If you win, you'll be one of a few people in the city who owns them.
This isn't like the contests we've been holding lately where we simply get you to give us your e-mail address or make a post in the comments to be entered; we're actually going to make you work for this one and to be perfectly honest I don't expect more than a couple entries. Which is fine.
In order to be entered in a draw to win a pair of these shoes you have to send us a photo of yourself dropping a pair of your used sneakers into one of the drop boxes for Nike's Reuse-A-Shoe drive that is still going on in this fair city of ours.

In case you missed our posts about the drive during the games, Nike is recycling all of the shoes that you drop off and turning them into a new playing surface somewhere in the city. Awesome. Drop off your used shoes at one of these Vancouver locations, leave your footprint on the city, take a photo of you doing it and send it to us at contact [at] vancouverisawesome.com and you'll be entered into the draw to win a pair of these hard-to-find Nike SBs:
