"Real life local couple Karin Bohne and Brett Turner are Moeski, a restaurant consulting and design firm with office digs on West Pender. Karin, with her interior design background and love for all things sustainable, and Brett, with his culinary and restaurant development know-how, have already made The Terminal Pub, Freshbowl and Kitsilano Liquor Store really, really, ridiculously good-looking, and there's more where that came from. These two will be changing how interior design is done in this city, and we welcome it. "- May Globus
The Proof 1. A recent work completed by Karin (acrylic on canvas 6’x4’) 2. Our boston terrier and the most hilarious dog you’ll ever meet 3. Starbucks and our Design Assistant, two things we can’t live without! 4. Our office at 11pm 5. Who can resist a nature weekend getaway? 6. A few resources we use on a daily basis 7. Yes it’s part of our inspiration… we admit it 8. Brett’s favorite snack (but he’s on a diet right now) The Questions What neighborhood do you live in? We live in Yaletown because it’s central, beautiful and close the seawall where we love to go running. It’s also full of young people, lots of cool places where you can spend your money, and our little boston terrier fits right it – we love it! What do you do and where? We’re a unique firm in that our two directors previously had their own businesses in interior design and restaurant consulting before partnering to form Moeski Consulting Inc. We specialize in putting restaurants together from start to finish. We also do interior design work in sectors other than hospitality including residential and commercial offices spaces. The bulk of our projects are in Vancouver. What are you working on? We’re working on building several fun franchise concepts that are too secret to tell right now. We just started designing Coast Medical, Vancouver’s coolest medical clinic which will be located downtown. And we recently finished Fresh Bowl – a contemporary to-go food concept in Yaletown.
