Chinatown will host the massive Vancouver Chinatown Festival this Saturday, Aug. 10, welcoming 50,000 attendees from across the Lower Mainland.

Chinatown will host the massive Vancouver Chinatown Festival this Saturday, Aug. 10, welcoming 50,000 attendees from across the Lower Mainland.

Offering everything from Kung Fu competitions to mouthwatering food trucks to free walking tours, the event offers a plethora of things to see and do. What's more, the organizers will offer free walking tours, where attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the neighbourhood’s rich history.

The festival will host a number of live musical acts and performers, as well as the Chinatown Outdoor Movie Night. There'll also be a photo booth to capture fun memories, a kid's section, a mobile aquarium, a prize wheel, and even a traditional lion dance that will bring good fortune and prosperity to the community.

The event will also provide an outdoor climbing wall with specific colour-coded routes with varying difficulties to keep all abilities entertained.

Parking for the event will be limited and biking, walking and transit are strongly encouraged. Admission is free.
