Beloved Vancouver brunch restaurant ready to make big move to the North Shore

It's time to say goodbye to Gastown

With a bigger move across the Burrard Inlet a long time in the works, Vancouver's popular brunch destination Catch 122 has spent the last few months operating in pop-up mode at a neighbouring address to its Gastown original.

Back in the fall, Catch 122 slid into 120 W Hastings St, which is currently Rosette restaurant - an evenings-only operation for now - once they had to vacate their home next door at - you guessed it - 122 W Hastings, where it resided for over a decade.

Rosette told V.I.A. at the time they were hopeful that when Catch 122 exits that their restaurant can adopt a brunch service to carry on the momentum at the location.

"We want to say thank you to our friends at Rosette, who have kindly shared their space with us for the last 5 months! It’s been a crazy adventure together," shared Catch 122 on social media this week.

When it comes to Catch, the initial plan, as suggested at the end of 2021, was for the Shipyards location to open in the spring or summer of 2022, in time to mark the restaurant's 10th anniversary. Unfortunately, that didn't pan out, but things are in motion now for the shift.

Catch 122 announced Jan. 17 it was go time: "The wait is almost over and we will be in our new home and the Lower Lonsdale neighbourhood very soon!"

The brunch spot will serve its last plates on Jan. 21 in Gastown and will re-open Feb. 2 at 128 Carrie Cates Crt. Reservations are now open for the new location.

"Thank you for the support from everyone for the past 10+ years. It’s been a pleasure cooking and serving everyone in the neighbourhood, and everyone who comes down to see us in Gastown! We hope to see you all in Lower Lonsdale too!" added Catch 122.
