Photo Best of Happy Hour
Two working professionals have created a map to help people find happy hour specials in Vancouver.
Monica Jones and her husband came up with the idea after discovering that there was no comprehensive guide to finding food and drink specials when they went out with their friends.
"We decided to put together a resource that would make all the days, times and menu information easily accessible for everyone," says Jones.
After two months of phoning various restaurants, collecting information from their websites and going in person they launched the site on Friday, August 17.
The map currently lists 219 happy hours offered by various establishments scattered across the city with options to search by neighbourhood, type of food, price and day of the week.
The couple plans to add a feature that allows people to search for places that offer afternoon or evening happy hours and eventually expand the map to include the North Shore.
She says they are happy to update the map based on input from the public and businesses.
Restaurant owners are also welcome to contact them for promotional opportunities.
