Fresh sheet: 11 more Vancouver restaurants now offering take-out or delivery

More Vancouver restaurants - including ones that have temporarily shuttered - are adding takeout and delivery options to keep you fed

The COVID-19 crisis has forced some Metro Vancouver restaurants to close their doors altogether, but others have risen to the occasion, keeping you fed and keeping people working.

B.C. Public Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry continues to urge us to support restaurants if and when we can by ordering take-out and delivery. Restaurants and carrier services have implemented contactless delivery measures as well, to further promote social distancing, even when heading to your doorstep with food and drinks.

When it comes to drinks, this has been the first week since a new law was enacted on Sunday allowing restaurants to offer canned or bottled alcohol to be sold with food purchases. Further, some small brewers and beverage-makers have banded together to launch Beer Van, a same-day delivery service in Vancouver proper.

This week, V.I.A. launched a special new listings section: Take Home Vancouver. This index is FREE for local businesses to use to add their listing. If you operate a food business and would like to be included, get in touch with me via e-mail ([email protected]) and I'll connect you to our easy online submission form.

I've been working to keep you updated on what different restaurants and food businesses are doing at this time. You can read more about some options here:

And our colleagues at the North Shore News have this: North Shore eateries try to deliver amid COVID-19 crisis

If you're in Coquitlam, Surrey, Langley, Langley City, and White Rock, the site West Coast Food has a new roundup of some great options.

Additionally, please use the excellent website Breaking Bread to connect directly to restaurants and order food or purchase gift certificates and merchandise.

As emails and DMs come in from restaurants and food businesses, or as I am able to track them via social media, I am rounding them up here regularly to keep you informed.

As always, bear in mind that due to the COVID-19 crisis, things may change rapidly. Please connect directly with the restaurant via phone, email, website, or social media, before making plans that depend upon their offerings being available.

Announcement Time!🚨🚨🚨 As you probably know we voluntarily shut Como amidst the COVID-19 crisis. We appreciate all the support from our loyal fans with heartfelt messages and purchasing Gift Cards. We are now offering a piece of Como to pick up and take home! 🇪🇸🇪🇸 We are offering a menu of our Conservas and a menu of selected wines available to go! Food must be purchased according to BC law, so Conservas must be part of your order. All of our perishable inventory was donated to our staff and to some other restaurants who are still doing takeaway around town. In an effort to sell some of our other inventory to help us make it to the other side of this crisis, we are offering these at big discounts 💥💥💥 The link is in the profile, or you can order from our website. The Conservas are non perishable and will last a very long time, in fact they get better with age! Conservas, if not familiar, are premium tinned seafood from Spain. In Spain only the best seafood is tinned, and enjoyed all year round! The wines we have selected are from our list and offered at 35-60% off! Want Sherry or Vermouth? Please let us know, we have lots! We will be taking the most precautions with health and safety, therefore, pick up times will be twice weekly for now, and contactless payment will be implemented. Any questions, or requests for something not on the menu, DM us here, or email [email protected] . Gracias!! 🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸
