This hyper-local shopping event pairs Vancouver stores with boutique wines

Name a more pleasant pairing than shopping and wine 😌🍷🛍️
pleasant-pairings
Pleasant Pairings is hosting its holiday shop and sip event on Dec. 1 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Main Street in Vancouver.

This Vancouver event is elevating holiday gift shopping with a hyper-local sip-and-shop.

Amy York, who owns a clothing boutique called Nouvelle Nouvelle, started Pleasant Pairings with Kurtis Kolt in December 2021, as a way to celebrate community and connect Mount Pleasant boutiques with B.C. wineries.

"It's an event where people can enjoy some of Mount Pleasant and Vancouver's best shops, perhaps find a new favourite wine, and enjoy the cheer of the season," Kolt tells Vancouver Is Awesome.

The holiday event, which currently has a holiday and a spring edition, will span across Main Street between East 20th and 21st avenues on Dec. 1 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

From clothing and dog attire to wines and ciders, there will be a representative from a local winery at each of the eight boutiques pouring free samples of wine for shoppers while they browse.
