This Vancouver gas station dropped to 82.9 cents per litre

Earlier this month, Vancouverites were pleased to discover that prices at the pump had tumbled below 90 cents per litre, with a number of stations offering gas for only 89.9 cents per litre.

Gas prices continue to plummet across Vancouver and the rest of Canada in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Earlier this month, Vancouverites were pleased to discover that prices at the pump had tumbled below 90 cents per litre, with a number of stations offering gas for only 89.9 cents per litre. 

As of Sunday, April 12, a number of stations in Vancouver were even selling gas for as little as 85.9 cents per litre.

Now, a station in the City of Vancouver is offering gas for 82.9 cents per litre - the Shell at 1295 East 12th and Clark Drive. Following this, two stations are offering gas for 84.9 cents per litre, the Petro-Canada at 710 Southeast Marine Drive and Fraser Street and the Esso at 688 Southeast Marine Drive and Fraser Street.

In addition, the Super Save at 1317 East 12th Ave and Clark Drive is offering gas for 85.9 cents per litre. After that, two stations are offering gas for 86.9 cents per litre while four stations are offering gas for 87.9 cents per litre.

In 2019, most people would have scoffed at the notion that Vancouver gas prices would fall below a buck litre in 2020. However, prices have continued to fall across the city. 

On Wednesday, March 11., a few gas stations in Vancouver were showing prices as low as 125.9 cents per litre. However, prices continued to fall, and, as of 4:20 p.m. later that day, one gas station was showing 119.9 cents per litre - the Super Save at 1317 E 12th Ave and Clark Drive. As of 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, however, gas prices in Vancouver had fallen as low as 115.9 cents per litre.

By March 19, gas prices had fallen a whopping 15 cents down to 99.9 cents per litre at the Chevron at 2918 Kingsway and Killarney Street. As of Friday, March 20 at 10:15 a.m., four gas stations were offering the 99.9 cents per litre deal in Vancouver
