PLACE: Thalia Lake (CLICK FOR MAP) LOCATION: Thompson-Nicola, B.C. As was eluded to with this post last Friday , I just concluded a five day camping/fishing trip in the interior of Awesome British Columbia.

Here's another example of a nurse log/stump (click the link to see my previous post on this [henomenon), this one I shot out near Golden Ears. I will continue to bring you photos of these as I come across them.

I would never claim to be a hiker, I take the dog for a walk in the woods all the time, used to do the Grouse Grind alot, to me though that doesn't make me a hiker, that just makes me a pretty typical Vancouverite.

I am here to report that... well ... I am not here. As you read this I will be crossing a logging road somewhere in the Thompson-Okanagan region on my way to much needed extended UNPLUGGED adventure.

Fellow VIA contributer Trevor Clarke and myself recently had a friend in town from Montreal, so we decided to take him for a little North Shore excursion. Trev lives over on the North Shore and his local knowledge really helped us out.

You know it's getting summerish (knock on wood we don't experience the dreaded "Junuary") when English Bay starts playing host to artisans and vendors along the seawall. Such a wonderful, lively vibe for a Sunday afternoon.
