How fantastic is the roof of this humble little castle on 19th Ave? It comes in a close second to my favourite, that hobbit house on King Edward, which I don't know why I've never shot a photo of. Oh well, HERE 's one somebody else shot.

I've always driven by this spot and felt sad that I couldn't skate it, it's just a bit too rough. So when I drove by the spot on the weekend and saw this, I had to stop to take a couple photos.

I don't know if it is the airport or transit that is responsible, but this vertical garden was amazing to see at night time. The whole wall is living. It is one of the walls of the new Canada Line stop at YVR. No skunks living in it, yet.

Earlier this week I wrote an OPEN LETTER to the Vancouver Park Board asking what the deal is with these houses that are in all the parks around town. Today one of the Park Board 's commissioners, Sarah Blyth, was kind enough to offer us some insight.
