Get cheap flights on JetBlue airline from Vancouver to New York for a steal as part of a sale they're currently running.

JetBlue flights from Vancouver to the Big Apple are on sale right now, offering one of the year's best deals on the ultra-convenient route.

The New York-based low-cost airline is the only one that offers nonstop, direct service between Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).

Travellers can also take advantage of discounts on the airline's popular routes across the United States, such as JetBlue's direct service between JFK and Miami International Airport (MIA). From Vancouver, this option typically costs far less than most flights between the two cities, and it only involves one stop in the airline's hub city, New York.

JetBlue's sale is applicable for travel between Oct. 10 and Dec. 13 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays on the lowest fare class (Basic Blue, otherwise Blue). However, some sale prices appear on travel that is not on these days, despite the airline's note on its sale page.

The sale is not valid for travel between Nov. 16 and Nov. 27. Travellers must book tickets by 8:59 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 28.

How to score cheap tickets on JetBlue flights from Vancouver to New York

The least expensive trips between YVR and JFK typically cost between $425 and $640 and involve at least one stop, according to Google Flights.

With the sale, you can score a one-way, direct flight from Vancouver to New York for under US$139. It should be noted, however, that you can't buy a ticket to the United States without having proof of transportation back to Canada, whether that is via a train, plane, cruise, or other option.

Use JetBlue's calendar to select the travel dates with the lowest prices. For example, a flight that departs YVR on Nov. 17 and returns a week later on Nov. 24 costs US$273.88, which works out to roughly C$375.75 based on the current conversion rate.

Keep in mind that this low-cost option is for the lowest fare class, Blue Basic, which doesn't include a great deal of flexibility or perks. For example, changes or cancellations come with a US$100 or US$200 price tag and don't include a carry-on bag (except for the new London route). Checked bags also cost extra, too.
