Want to visit the most "Magical Place on Earth" for a steal?

While tickets to Walt Disney World Resort still cost a pretty, mouse-shaped penny, plane tickets from Vancouver to Orlando, Florida are a bargain right now.

Orlando saw a whopping 74 million visitors in 2022, making it the most-visited destination in the United States. "The Beautiful City" is home to several popular attractions, including Disney's largest amusement park, which actually consists of four separate "magical theme parks." Universal Studios Orlando is another massive attraction, consisting of three separate parks.

Universal and Disney each have a range of on-site hotels and resorts, ranging from more modest to ultra-luxury accommodations.

Orlando is actually home to over a dozen theme parks, as well as some animal-centric attractions like Seaworld and Gatorland. Visitors will also find several popular sports franchises, museums, an impressive space centre, sprawling gardens, and seemingly endless places to shop and dine.

Tips for finding cheap flights to Orlando from Vancouver

Tickets from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to Orlando International Airport (MCO) cost far below typical prices with a couple of different airlines, including Air Canada, United Airlines, and WestJet.

For example, a flight that departs Vancouver on June 7 and returns from Orlando a week later on June 14 costs a total of $363.06 including all taxes and fees. There is only one stop in either direction: Montreal on the outbound trip and Houston on the return.

There are some Air Canada-operated components of the flight but the ticket is issued by United Airlines.

Impressively, a direct flight option with WestJet doesn't cost much more at $475.50 including all taxes and fees on a trip that departs on June 10 and returns a week later on June 17. The only issue with the direct service is that it only operates on Saturdays, meaning that you'll have to be flexible with your schedule.

These prices are about $502 cheaper than usual, with tickets typically costing between $$650 and $1,500, according to Google Flights.
